Meet Velvett, the electrifying new dance music duo comprised of Jo Sims and Natali Williams. 

 

Born into musical families, with Natali's father being the renowned crooner Danny Williams of "Moon River" fame and Jo's father celebrated jazz cornetist Ken Sims, the duo's musical paths intertwined in 2023, marking the genesis of Velvett. 

 

In 2023, Jo featured on Rich Thair's solo album 'Un', and also showcased her prowess in studio engineering and production, releasing solo material on Dave Jarvis' label 'Pamela', which gained her respect within the industry. 

 

Jo's production finesse, influenced by luminaries such as William Orbit, Andrew Weatherall, and Youth, fused seamlessly with Natali's dynamic musical sensibilities, resulting in Velvett's distinctively infectious sound. 

 

Their music encapsulates the essence of dance music, transcending genres to create a club-friendly yet deeply resonant body of work. 

 

The duo's debut EP, ‘Femme Fatale’, released in July 2024, received critical acclaim and has captivated listeners with its unparalleled vibe and irresistible allure. With remixes by esteemed artists and DJs from both the UK and the US, stay tuned for news of live performances and further releases from this visionary duo.

Their second EP, 'Lay Down' cemented their presence in the dance music scene and landed them the N0.3 spot in Beatport's Best New Indie Dance tracks of February 2025.

The duo released their third EP. 'Velvett State of Mind' in Spring 2025, with a stomper of a remix by renowned DJ and Producer Terry Francis.
